Gordon Alexander Evans

In Loving Memory of Gordon Alexander Evans, born in Bancroft, Ont on October 20, 1967.  Passed away at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia, Ont on March 1, 2024.  He was 56 years old.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gordon (Gordie) Evans of Huntsville, Ont.

Loving father of Tania and Mike of Edmonton.  Loving grandpa of Jewels, Jack, Thomas, Seth and Alexis.  Predeceased by his parents Jim and Marie Evans of Highland Grove.

Loving brother of Beatrice Nimmo of Paudash, Ken (Freida) Evans of Huntsville, Annie Giesbrecht of Peace River, Mae (Alvin) Boisvert of Westmeath and Jamie (Wayne) Quebell of Wilberforce.

Gordie will be dearly missed by his family, friends, many nieces, nephews, cousins and by his extended family, Jen, Katey, Grayson, William and Cathy.  

Gordie enjoyed his work in the logging industry which he did for almost forty years.  He was mechanically inclined, he could fix almost anything.  He loved to fish and he was a member of the bowling league on tuesday nights.  Gordie was a very thoughtful and caring person and would help anyone if they needed help.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and many close friends and playing with Grayson and William.  His passing leaves a huge void in our lives.

Gordie, we love you and we will miss you forever.

Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium, North Bay, Ont. There will be a Celebration of Life in July.  Interment will take place at Deer Lake Cemetery in Highland Grove at a later date.
